When asked during the interview, with Mrs. Jacobson-Huest, when she first started thinking of becoming an illustrator, Dawn Phillips had this to say, “When my ‘Art Masterpieces’ were showcased on the ‘Wall of Fame’. My autographed doodles could be found on papers, walls, cars, etc. Did you know that a Kindergartener could create a ‘Wok of Art’ utilizing scissors and household carpeting? Too bad mom and dad weren’t impressed.”
