Discover how to make a "Dream" become a "Reality" with Author Tanya Anchors.

Author Tanya Anchors is a private Home Health Care worker who works with special needs and the elderly since she was 16 years old. Currently, a student at Eastern Oregon University studying under Anthropology and Sociology Department. Also, enhanced her writing skills to pursue opportunities in personal interests. She would like very much to work with language, culture, and environmental preservation.

Author Tanya Anchors conveys the message, "That we all have dreams to aspire to0. It's healthy to dream". Her children's book Jimmy and His Amazing Flying Truck contributes her message to the readers.

Jimmy
is a little boy who has an adventurous dream that he flies in his toy freight line truck. He becomes a hero and...you will have to read the book, to discover the rest of the story.

Her decision to write this book developed when her daughter asked her to tell a story while they rode in her dad's (Jimmy's) freight line truck. This was what fell out of her mouth, so she wrote it down, in 2003. It has awaited submission.

You'll notice a touch of "Green" amongst the pictures in this book. At the time, Author Tanya Anchors and Illustrator Dawn Phillips worked together on the illustrations it was Election Time. Everyone became more aware of the importance of a "Greener Earth". Ideas popped in her head and felt it was necessary to place into a book.

It will be our children who inherit what we make for them today. While big freight liner trucks are not fuel efficient she believes the new fuel cell technology will help them in the future.

You may recognize one of the characters within the book. When Tanya was asked about an opportunity to meet the president and what she would tell him. She replied, "Gosh, I have a long list. I will try to keep it short, Mr. President. These are defining and inspirational times. I just felt it was the right thing to do."

Jimmy and His Amazing Flying Truck, is her first book and would like to write another book. Also, has some of her daughters stories printed too.

Hi Dawn, the illustrations show your talent and the story sounds cute. I look forward to reading it to my grandchildren. All children should have dreams and that goes for adults too. Thanks for the post and introducing us to another talented author.
